WINNER 2019 Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Festival Showcase Competition

The Ruta Beggars are a band rooted in traditional bluegrass music, but bend the genre to incorporate the eclectic tastes of the group. Having performed at the Joe Val Bluegrass Festival, Ossipee Music Festival, and Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival to name a few, they have been praised for their creativity and highly entertaining performances, not to mention their impressive vocal and instrumental technique which was further refined at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where they met in the American Roots program in 2017. They include Micah Nicol – guitar, vocals, Ariel Wyner – mandolin, vocals, Sofía Chiarandini – fiddle, vocals, Trevin Nelson – banjo, vocals
